Using the  Scribd Reader App

Overview

Scribd is the world’s largest social reading and publishing company with lots of easy ways to share and discover entertaining, informative and original written content across the web and mobile devices. Supadü's Scribd app allows you to share publications quickly on your pages.

Selecting and applying the app

Select the Apps option from the Supadu toolbar and drag and drop it onto the canvas.

The asset library will then load with all the apps available to you listed in alphabetical order. Select the Scibd app and you will be taken into the configure your app settings.


Adjust the settings and fill out the fields accordingly. Click on Size and Options for more settings to customise the app. In Size, you can enter the dimensions for the rendered Scribd Reader.

In Options, display view: select either 'Scroll' or 'Slideshow'. 'Scroll' will display the document like a PDF (scroll up and down from page to page), 'Slideshow' will allow the user to click next and previous arrows to show pages.

Finally, save and publish your page. Supadü. Makes Websites (and social media apps). Simple. 

Supadu apps library

Before you select the app in the Supadu apps library, follow these quick steps:

1. Go to scribd.com

2. Next, locate and view your desired document/publication on scribd.com. Then make note of the URL in the browser bar, for example, 'http://www.scribd.com/doc/

In the Sribd app set-up window, go to the app's Content tab and then follow these instructions. 

Enter an article title of your choice and paste the article's Scribd URL that you will have copied in step 2. at the top of this page. Select the page number that you would like the document to start showing at i.e.
the front cover, the contents page, a particular chapter etc).
