Using the Rotating Carousel app

Overview

The Rotating Carousel app allows you to display a selection of images to give an effect not dissimilar to a slideshow, offering a far more interesting way to display your images.

Selecting and applying the app

The first step is to select the Rotating Carousel app from the Apps option on the toolbar and drag and drop it onto the canvas. You will then be directed into the ‘configure your app’ settings.

Configuring your app

Here is where you personalize the app. Under Content click on 'add new image'. A new box will come up for each separate image you wish to add to the carousel.

Styling app

Layout allows you to select the way your image carousel appears on the page and how your images and toolbar are arranged.

Layout app settings

Under Options, checking the 'show toolbar' box is important to ensure your carousel matches the particular layout you have selected. If this is not selected then all that will be displayed is the main image changing from one to the next.

Selecting 'Auto-play' allows images to progress from one to the next automatically as when you check the option for toolbar to be viewed, by default the images do not move from one to the next automatically. Selecting 'show thumbnails' allows all the images that make up the carousel to be displayed in thumbnail form beside the main carousel box. If you leave this option unchecked then three dots will appear in place of image thumbnails.
