Overview
Designing for Supadü is not particularly restrictive but here are some top level things to bear in mind:
-
Backgrounds - you can design a background that is displayed once at full width (example: http://www.tlc.nl/) or repeats as a tile. A background can contain a gradient that fades to a solid color. Example of a gradient fade: http://www.discoverychannel.com.au/
-
Page width - the standard page width is 976px wide by any height. Other templates are optimised for Facebook and mobile with narrower widths.
-
Images - supply your images sliced up with transparency applied (if applicable). Allowed image formats are: GIF, JPEG, PNG. Also, it is helpful to supply a flattened composite image of your layered original so the overall design can be followed when assembling the images in Supadü. Note: transparent PNG images do not render well in IE6.
-
Layers - you can have multiple layers in Supadü although each element should be provided separately or as a composite transparent image.
-
Text - Editorial copy should be provided in a Word or plaintext document. It is helpful to include text in the composite design so the alignment and placement is clear.
