Using Supadü to build Facebook pages

Chalkboard icon

Building a Facebook page using Supadü is easy. The page can be built and published like any other Supadü page.

There are two Facebook templates within Supadü to choose from: 1) a fans page and 2) a full page app. Create a new page then give it a title and url (you'll need to make a note of the url to pop into Facebook later). Then select market sector as Social Media. Choose either the Fan page template or Full page template.

Step 1: Login into Facebook. Scroll to the footer and click on the Developers link.

Step 1

Step 2:  Click the New Apps link in the header:

Step 2

Step 3: Click the new app button

Note: You may be asked to register as a developer. This step will need to be completed before you can add the app.

Step 3

Step 4: Fill in the app name pop-up and accept the terms and conditions. The app name can be anything you want.

Step 4

Step 5:  Once you’ve completed the capture, you will be presented with the screen below. Here you can update the associated images (these are used when the app is added to a page so we recommend filling them in) and also update contact email addresses.

Step 5

Step 6: Click on ‘Web’ in the left hand menu. Please fill in the two URL boxes. For example the site URL would be myapp.supadu.com and the domain would be supadu.com. These can be changed to a working URL once the webpage is live.

Step 6

Step 7: Click ‘On Facebook’ link found on the left hand side. Here you need to fill in several fields as follows:

Canvas Page: This should be filled in with the name of your app. Any spaces should be replaced with hyphens and plain English (no punctuation
Canvas URL: This should be the same as what was used in the site URL from the step before. i.e. myapp.supadu.com
Iframe Size: Auto-resize should be checked.
Tab Name: The piece of text you would like to call your tab once it’s added to a Facebook page
Tab URL: This should be the same as Canvas URL

Note: When the website is re-directed and live we recommend updating these URL’s

Step 7

Step 8: Save your changes and then click on ‘Apps’ in the header bar. You will be presented with the details of your app.

Step 8

Adding an App to your Page

When you are ready to add an app to your Facebook Page, you need to first click the ‘Edit' link associated with the app.

Adding an App to your Page

Click on ‘View App Profile Page’ found at towards the bottom of the left hand side navigation.

View App Profile Page

Then on the next page click ‘Add to My Page’, this is again found in the left hand navigation.

Add to my page

Select the page you would like to add the app to. The app will now appear in the left hand navigation of that page. That's it. You will now have your very own Supadü -designed facebook page! Supadü. Makes Websites (and Social media sites). Simple.
